PRE-ENROLLMENT and FINAL ENROLLMENT
PRIVACY and SECURITY

Since our primary responsibility is to directly enroll Georgia residents into the Federally Facilitated Health Insurance Marketplace (FFM), Georgia Health Insurance Marketplace (GHIM) takes your privacy and security very seriously.

Georgia Health Insurance Marketplace (GHIM) personnel’s certification and authority to directly enroll Georgia residents, mandates that GHIM have systems in place to maintain strict privacy and security practices.

These privacy and security safeguards are mandated in order for GHIM personnel to adhere to the privacy requirements of the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Studies (CMS) and the Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight (CCIO).

The Georgia Health Insurance Marketplace proprietary enrollment system provides GHIM with the ability to directly enroll Georgia residents through a seamless and secure transmission directly into the Federally Facilitated Health Insurance Marketplace (FFM).

Georgia Health Insurance Marketplace (GHIM) does not experience the technical and security issues consumers may face using their own home or office computers.

Our trained, tested, certified and authorized personnel utilize the assigned FFM used ID and passwords recorded and maintained by the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS).

For that reason, there is never a chance that any of our GHIM enrollee will ever have their FFM user ID or password either temporarily or permanently lost due to an unexpected healthcare.gov crash, either on a momentary basis or for a more extended period of time.

Furthermore, GHIM’s secure website GeorgiaHealthInsuranceMarketplace.com, where we receive many pre-enrollment applications, maintains uncompromising security and privacy measures second to none.

While most secure websites choose to maintain only one (1) privacy and security management certification, Georgia Health Insurance Marketplace (GHIM) maintains a total of five (5) security management certifications:  (TRUSTe, GeoTrust, SiteLock SECURE, NORTON and CLOUDFLARE), and GHIM’s secure website email is also HIPPA compliant.

The sole function of Georgia Health Insurance Marketplace (GHIM) is to process only that personally identifiable information which is required to enroll a Georgia consumer into a Qualified Health Plan (QHP) directly through the Federally Facilitated Health Insurance Marketplace (FFM).

Pre-enrollment and final enrollment information is shared only with the select federal agencies to insure that the enrollment application is successful, and with the Qualified Health Plan (QHP) private health insurance company provider who will be providing your coverage. It would take your signed written permission for us to share your information with anybody else and we’ll never ask.

(Please also see GHIM’s Privacy Notice Statement adjacent to the Pre-Enrollment Application Form.)
